Restorative Dentistry at Edinburgh Dental

Life happens to teeth. Decay develops despite our best efforts, accidents cause chips and fractures, old fillings fail, and years of use take their toll. When teeth become damaged, weakened, or lost, restorative dentistry repairs what’s broken, rebuilds what’s worn, and replaces what’s missing – returning both function and confidence to your smile.

At Edinburgh Dental, our approach to restorative dentistry is guided by one principle: preserve as much of your natural tooth structure as possible while creating restorations that are durable, comfortable, and indistinguishable from natural teeth. From simple fillings to complete smile reconstruction, we combine technical expertise with genuine care for your long-term oral health.

Jack Rollinson

Dental Therapist

Running is a big part of my routine. I mix up interval training with longer runs and I’m working towards a half marathon this year. I’m always trying to improve my time and keep things moving forward. Outside of that, I play football socially (Everton supporter — for better or worse!) and I’m looking forward to the World Cup, obviously!

I originally studied physiology before going back to train as a dental therapist. I’ve always been drawn to science, but I knew I wanted something a bit more hands-on — a role where every day is a bit different and you’re not stuck behind a screen.

When I’m not working, I like getting away and exploring new places. That could be a quiet weekend in the countryside with friends or a few days in a new city — Lisbon was a personal highlight! I like keeping things balanced — staying active, trying new things, and enjoying the pace of it all.
