At Edinburgh Dental, we specialise in a comprehensive array of services including state-of-the-art cosmetic dentistry, pioneering dental implant solutions, advanced facial aesthetics, and cutting-edge treatments like Invisalign and short-term orthodontics.

The people you’ll meet on this page have lives beyond dentistry: they’re avid travellers, amateur chefs, sports enthusiasts, and dedicated parents who understand that a great smile is about more than just teeth – it’s about how you feel when you look in the mirror and walk into a room.

I moved to Edinburgh in 2025 and quickly found my feet in Newington. I love the energy around here — great coffee spots, places to eat, and plenty of routes to get out for a run. One of the best things about the city is how it’s made up of so many different pockets and areas. You can be in the middle of everything one minute, then by the beach or heading towards the hills the next.

Clinical Director and Implant Surgeon

My obsession with learning doesn’t stop at dual qualifications. As Clinical Director and Implant Surgeon, I’ve also studied customer experience masters like Disney and Eleven Madison Park restaurant to create something extraordinary for our patients.

Every implant journey at Edinburgh Dental combines world-class clinical care with exceptional personal attention. It’s why dentists from across the UK and internationally come to me for training and mentorship.

The greatest compliment? When patients tell me their new smile has given them confidence in dating, work, or simply smiling in photos again. I’d be privileged to help you discover that feeling too.

Niall Bradley

Surgical & Sedation Dentist

I’m currently studying towards a MSc in Dental Implantology and love how implants bring together both the surgical and restorative sides of dentistry – the best of both worlds.

Spending time working and travelling abroad has shaped how I approach life and work. I fell in love with the lifestyle in New Zealand, where things feel a little less rushed and a bit more grounded. Living out of a van for six months taught me how freeing it can be to strip life back to the basics — good food, great company, fresh air and time to think.

Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, camping and getting outdoors whenever I can. I enjoy the self-reliance and the sense of freedom that comes from carrying everything you need on your back and taking the time to switch off every now and then.

I like the quiet that comes with being off-grid and the perspective you get. Everest Base Camp was a recent highlight, challenging and well worth the effort and I’d love to head back to South America and tackle Patagonia in the future.

I also enjoy cooking and experimenting with new recipes (although I’m not a fan of the clean up!), I keep a close eye on Arsenal’s fortunes and love all sorts of sports.

I believe that finding a good balance and having a calm, relaxed mindset makes everything run more smoothly — at work and in life.

My dental philosophy mirrors my travel ethos: never settle for the expected when there’s something extraordinary to discover. Whether I’m learning a new language, experimenting with cutting-edge dental techniques, or mentoring colleagues toward breakthrough careers, I’m energised by potential.

Patients tell me our appointments fly by – probably because I balance technical precision with genuine conversation. I believe understanding your life goals helps me create a smile that authentically represents you.

When I’m not chair-side or crossing borders, you’ll find me collaborating with dental charities, diving into marketing innovations, or hunting for my next great read. Have book recommendations? I’m all ears – especially if they’re in a language I’m learning!

Dental Therapist

Running is a big part of my routine. I mix up interval training with longer runs and I’m working towards a half marathon this year. I’m always trying to improve my time and keep things moving forward. Outside of that, I play football socially (Everton supporter — for better or worse!) and I’m looking forward to the World Cup, obviously!

I originally studied physiology before going back to train as a dental therapist. I’ve always been drawn to science, but I knew I wanted something a bit more hands-on — a role where every day is a bit different and you’re not stuck behind a screen.

When I’m not working, I like getting away and exploring new places. That could be a quiet weekend in the countryside with friends or a few days in a new city — Lisbon was a personal highlight! I like keeping things balanced — staying active, trying new things, and enjoying the pace of it all.

My greatest professional satisfaction comes from watching subtle changes accumulate into significant health improvements. While patients might not notice their gums becoming healthier week by week, I’m secretly celebrating each small victory that contributes to their overall wellbeing.

Lockdown awakened my creative side, and now my home regularly transforms into a craft workshop – soap making, painting, or testing new recipes. Each project starts with careful preparation and ends with something beautifully tangible.

My travel planning follows the same meticulous approach -researching local cuisines and hidden gems months before departure. There’s something deeply satisfying about creating order from chaos, whether in your dental health journey or my next culinary adventure.

I find deep satisfaction in creating confidence through dentistry. The subtle shift in how patients carry themselves after treatment – standing taller, smiling without hesitation – that’s what drives me.

My brother followed me into dentistry (a fact I never let him forget!), continuing our family’s connection that began with Manchester United matches watched beside my father. These days, my competitive spirit surfaces during FIFA games rather than on the field.

Weekends revolve around swing park adventures with my son and Marvel movie nights featuring my wife’s incredible cooking. My contribution? Enthusiastic appreciation – I’ve mastered the art of knowing when to create and when to simply enjoy.

The controlled chaos of oral surgery and sedation is my perfect match. There’s something incredibly satisfying about solving complex dental problems and giving patients a fresh start – often in just one visit.

Dentistry’s predictable hours fuel my unpredictable life outside the practice. Bungee jumping – that box has been checked off! Next? Skydiving maybe. I’m constantly plotting my next travel destination or seeking new cuisines to sample.

My patients appreciate that I bring this same energy to their care – approaching each case with enthusiasm, adaptability, and a genuine desire to transform their dental experience from dread to relief.

In implant dentistry, microscopic measurements make the difference between “good enough” and “wow” – and I’ve built my practice on delivering those wow moments. Yet the technical side is only half the equation; understanding what transformation means for you personally drives everything I do.

Between juggling three clinics, three incredible kids, and one patient wife, I’ve mastered the art of being fully present wherever I am. My colleagues joke that I network in my sleep, constantly connecting with other clinicians and exploring innovations that might benefit my patients.

My perfect day ends with a well-executed treatment plan, a patient’s grateful smile, and perhaps a moment to appreciate life’s finer pleasures before tomorrow’s precision work begins.

Implant Coordinator

I’m the dynamo who ensures our complex surgical cases run flawlessly – coordinating schedules, preparing setups, and anticipating needs before they arise. Think of me as the theater director who occasionally steps into the spotlight.

My colleagues know me for two things: efficiency that borders on mind-reading and an infectious enthusiasm for dental innovation. When new technology arrives, I’m first to master it and then first to train others – because knowledge deserves sharing!

Between coordinating our practice, presenting at dental conferences, and maintaining my running regimen (health is wealth!), I squeeze in flights back to Poland to reconnect with family. Life’s too short not to perform at your peak – in dentistry and beyond!

Francesca Auriemma

Qualified Dental Nurse

I grew up in a small village near Naples and moved to Edinburgh almost ten years ago. Being the only girl in a traditional household gave me a strong sense of independence from an early age. Building a life here, alongside my husband, has been something I’m incredibly proud of.

Outside of work, I travel whenever I can. I have friends across Europe and a long list of places I still want to see — Japan is next. I love exploring new cultures, new food and new experiences (although I’m more than happy for someone else to plan the itinerary so I can just enjoy it!).

I’m also a huge dog lover. My rescue dog, Titina, has been part of my life for three years, and caring for animals has always been close to my heart. When I return to Italy, I volunteer with local shelters and support rescue efforts where I can. At our wedding in 2025, we chose to donate to an animal shelter instead of giving traditional favours — it felt more meaningful.

For me, life is about staying independent, curious, kind and always moving forward.

Marzena Bednarkiewicz

Dental Receptionist

I loved sharing my everyday activities — from cooking to gardening to creative projects — and seeing how much of a difference it made when people felt supported in a more natural, practical way. These days, you’ll find me at reception, where I enjoy connecting with patients and helping create a calm, welcoming environment.

I’m naturally curious about people and love noticing the little details. I’m a big fan of Agatha Christie and Poirot, not for the drama, but for the patterns, the clues and the satisfaction of everything coming together in the end.

At home, I’m happiest in my garden or on the terrace with my partner and our two cats, Honey and Sandy. I love growing lavender and roses, and I find gardening a great way to switch off and reset.

Scotland has been home for over ten years now, and I love the friendliness, the energy of the city and the sense of community here. For me, it’s the perfect balance.

Elinor Bell

Business & Operations Manager

As Business & Operations Manager, I’m the one who ensures your experience at Edinburgh Dental flows seamlessly from first contact to final smile. My hospitality background taught me that authentic connections make even high-pressure situations enjoyable – a philosophy I’ve brought to our practice.

I’m naturally drawn to patterns and systems, constantly looking for ways to enhance your patient journey through thoughtful improvements rather than just maintaining the status quo.

When I’m not analysing data or streamlining operations, music becomes my soundtrack – though you’ll never catch me singing along! My colleagues know me as straightforward but fair, with a refreshingly no-drama approach to solving problems that keeps our team performing at their best.

I still remember my first day as a trainee – wide-eyed and uncertain. Now, I’ve found my superpower: creating a bubble of calm for anxious patients who walk through our doors.

While I’m the one colleagues call when a nervous patient needs extra reassurance, don’t mistake my gentleness for weakness. My friends know I transform into a fierce competitor at game night and a determined adventurer when tackling Scotland’s Munros.

Between perfecting my dental nursing skills and planning my next holiday with loved ones, I’m constantly growing. What excites me most? Knowing that this confidence I’ve discovered is just the beginning of what I can become – which is similar to the experience I’ve noticed patients have … when they first see their new smile!

Practice Team Lead

As Practice Team Lead, I’ve transformed our support team into a well-oiled machine – where efficiency meets warmth. My colleagues know my famous phrase: “There’s got to be a better way to do this!”

My transformation mindset follows me home, where DIY projects multiply faster than I can complete them. My boys have learned that “Mum’s thinking face” means our household systems are about to get an upgrade.

My secret weapons? Colour-coded planners, celebration-worthy milestones (however small), and the conviction that organised spaces create calm minds. Future goals include adding a dog to our chaos and finding more walls to knock down – both literal and figurative!

In the dental chair, patients often grip my hand like a lifeline. That moment of connection—when anxiety transforms into trust—is why I love what I do.

My planning nature means I’m always three steps ahead: instruments ready before they’re needed, comforting words prepared before nervousness surfaces, and a calming presence that makes even complex procedures feel manageable.

After successfully planning my Australian adventure and first home purchase, I’m now focused on advancing my qualifications in sedation and radiography.

When my scrubs come off, you’ll find me redecorating my house, enjoying family time, or savoring an Aperol Spritz in any available sunshine!

Trainee Dental Nurse

Behind my vibrant personality is someone who takes dental care incredibly seriously. The team knows I’m at my best when tackling challenging tasks – whether it’s mastering a complex sterilisation protocol or reorganising our supply area into perfect order.

When I’m not brightening our practice with conversation or studying for my next qualification, I’m channeling my creativity through bold makeup artistry, crafting signature cocktails, or planning adventures with my equally enthusiastic friends.

What patients appreciate most is how my natural chattiness helps ease their dental anxiety – before they know it, they’re laughing instead of worrying about their procedure. My life philosophy? There’s always something to smile about, and I’m here to help you find it!

Stacey Milne

Referral Coordinator

When you visit Edinburgh Dental, I’m often your first point of contact – and I take that responsibility seriously. Not the serious-serious kind, but the “I’m-going-to-make-you-laugh-even-if-you’re-terrified” kind.

My colleagues will tell you I have two superpowers: making anxious patients feel immediately at ease and orchestrating the occasional office prank that keeps our team laughing. I lead our patient advisory panel because I genuinely believe that listening to you makes us better.

While I do enjoy visiting our network of referring dentists, nothing beats the human connections I make daily – learning about your grandchildren, travel plans, or new hobbies. Teeth are just our starting point.

Pratibha Singh

Patient Care Coordinator

I’m the gentle hand holding yours throughout your dental journey. While I could be drilling and filling, I’ve discovered deeper satisfaction in guiding patients through transformative procedures – answering questions, calming nerves, and celebrating your results.

My nurturing nature extends beyond our practice. I manage my daughter’s badminton career (she’s competing nationally!), mentor our dental nurses, and keep everyone fuelled with occasional sweet treats on hectic days.

What truly warms my soul? Watching someone walk in anxious about their smile and leave beaming with confidence. That transformation – seeing you stand taller and smile wider – is why I believe in making every interaction warmer and more human.
